Why you need an EICR

The Electricity at Work Regulations 1989 came into force on 1 April 1990. The regulations state that an electrical installation should be designed, installed, operated and maintained in a safe manner at all times. In other words, your electrical system has to remain safe and you are required to have evidence of this.

The only way to provide evidence that your electrical system is safe is to commission professional periodic testing and inspection of your electrical installation, together with rectification of any faults found.

Increasingly, insurers are insisting that inspection and testing of your electrical installation be carried out on a regular basis.

Work with the professionals at Midlands Electrical Fire & Security Ltd and enjoy the peace of mind that comes with knowing you can prove you have done your duty to ensure that the electrical installation at your business remains safe.
